Astros Game

We had some visitors this weekend - Chad and Hayden came to see us! We all went to the Astros game on Saturday evening and then grilled burgers and played in the sprinkler on Sunday afternoon. It's amazing the small things that entertain that kid. He ran through the sprinkler with Cash and Buddy on Sunday, because our neighborhood pool wasn't quite open yet. We grilled burgers outside and enjoyed the awesome weather we've had lately. After we were all full, we decided to take cat naps and watch a movie. It was a great weekend!

Wedding Shower

Last weekend we helped host a wedding shower for Kurt's brother Kyle and his fiance Daphanie. The shower was at our house and made for a very busy, fun weekend. We started getting everything ready on Friday afternoon and worked right up until the shower at 7pm on Saturday evening. The shower was great for the bride and groom. There were close to 50 people in attendance and they got some great kitchen stuff. We were lucky to have the help of Kurt's family with yummy food and lots of extras needed for the shower. Kurt's cousin, Amy, and I decided to try something new for the dessert at the shower. We attemped and succeeded in making our first batch of cake pops! They turned out really cute and were a hit at the shower. We really appreciate everyone's help in making this turn out so well for Kyle & Daphanie. Cheers to dessert
