Kurt and I just returned from an amazing long weekend in Los Angeles. We flew down with Mamoo and Chris and Amy were on our same flight as well. We got to visit with Anne and Paul, of course. Another special treat...Concetta flew in to meet us as well along with her friends, Maurene and Jane. We got to walk by the Kodak theater and see everything that was going on in preparation for the Oscars. There were people everywhere! On Saturday, everyone did their own thing...some people shopped and others went to the Farmer's Market. Kurt and I decided to go see Slumdog Millionaire at the Arclight Theater...a very neat place! The screen was huge, and it was such an incredible movie. We were so glad we got to see it, because as they swept the Oscars on Sunday night, we were able to appreciate it so much. We had a blast and can't wait to go back...hopefully soon! Enjoying breakfast at our hotel

Cash's Penthouse
After lots of hard work (done by Kurt)...Cash's kennel is finally complete! We finished it a few weeks ago, but I'm just now getting around to posting the pictures. The cover hasn't quite come in yet, but should be here by next week. The concrete slab was poured perfectly, thanks to Kurt's precise measurements and help from Chad and my Dad who came in to help pour the slab a few months ago. Cash seems much happier in the afternoons, as he has a place to walk around and stretch during the day without completely destroying our backyard.

House Guest
Our nephew Hayden came in with my brother on Friday night and spent the weekend with us. Chad had to head back to the Naval base on Saturday afternoon so Hayden was with us Saturday night. My Mom, Ronnie, and Sally came over for burgers on Saturday night and got to see the "little monster." He is getting so big, and looks just like his Dad! We hated to see him go home on Sunday, but having him around just for the weekend wore us both out. He was absolutely non-stop all weekend long, and he never laid down for a nap! We all had lots of fun, and got him back home on Sunday in time for the Super Bowl.
