California

Kurt and I just returned from an amazing long weekend in Los Angeles. We flew down with Mamoo and Chris and Amy were on our same flight as well. We got to visit with Anne and Paul, of course. Another special treat...Concetta flew in to meet us as well along with her friends, Maurene and Jane. We got to walk by the Kodak theater and see everything that was going on in preparation for the Oscars. There were people everywhere! On Saturday, everyone did their own thing...some people shopped and others went to the Farmer's Market. Kurt and I decided to go see Slumdog Millionaire at the Arclight Theater...a very neat place! The screen was huge, and it was such an incredible movie. We were so glad we got to see it, because as they swept the Oscars on Sunday night, we were able to appreciate it so much. We had a blast and can't wait to go back...hopefully soon! Enjoying breakfast at our hotel

Walking around near our hotel. We had to stop and I made Kurt stop
and take a picture in front of this huge lemon tree.
Outside of Mann's Chinese Theater looking at all of the famous footprints
and handprints on the sidewalk.

The Kodak Theater and the clear tarp and lights were right on the red
carpet, where all the action would be the following day.

Looking into the soon-to-be red carpet area the day before.
