Happy Easter

Welcome Home Chad! We headed to Beaumont this weekend for a welcome home celebration for Chad's homecoming from the U.S. Navy, and to celebrate Easter. Many of Chad's friends, our family, and other friends came in to help us celebrate his completion of 4 years with the Navy. It's hard to believe that 4 years have gone by so fast. On Saturday, we had a crawfish boil at Chad's house and most of the 200 pounds of crawfish were gone by the end of the night. My Dad and Johnette surprised Chad with several framed pictures of his awards and achievements while he was in the Navy. Believe it or not, he even got a good conduct award! I'm sure his high school teachers would be proud. It nearly brought tears to everyone's eyes seeing him when he saw the pictures for the first time. I'm sure it will be something he will appreciate more as the years go by and when Hayden gets old enough to appreciate what his Dad did. On Sunday, we went to church, and it was neat being in the church we were married in on Easter. We also had an early celebration for David's birthday on Sunday...when he will be celebrating 69 years! None of us could have guessed that. When asked what his secret was...he said Margaret, and a few other remarks, of course! It was a great weekend, and I was glad that I got to enjoy most of it, even though my mouth was a bit sore and I was on some medication. We had a blast and hope that everyone had a Happy Easter! Mamoo made David a birthday cake, which Margaret presented to him on Sunday...and we all got to enjoy! YUMMY

Come on Pops...share the crawfish

Everyone was eating crawfish all day, and even Haley (our neighbor) was keeping up with the boys

This was when Chad was looking at the pictures of the awards that were framed for him.

Eat up Mamoo - she even enjoyed a Corona with lime!

There were washers and Redneck golf (you have to see it) for all to enjoy.

Nice bass! Kurt caught this on Friday when we first arrived in town. He was proud!
