Wisdom Teeth!!!

As many of you know, I had my wisdom teeth taken out on Thursday before Easter weekend. I only had 3 wisdom teeth to begin with, and one was removed in high school. The other two needed years to make their way down, so I had to wait. Well, they made their appearance and it was time to get them out! I had the last 2 wisdom teeth taken out, and I was only numb for the operation. They didn't put me to sleep, because I went to a general dentist, not an oral surgeon for the operation, because it wasn't going to be that bad.
Kurt's Mom works in the dentist's office that performed the surgery, and she was right by me the entire time. She made sure that even though I wasn't going to "sleep", that I would be as comfortable as possible during the procedure. It was definitely comforting having her by my side, but I could feel lots of pulling and deep pressure as they were pulling my stubborn teeth!!! I was so glad when it was finally over. Best of all, I had a great nurse by my side all night. Kurt's Mom offered to stay with us on Thursday night after the surgery to make sure I was recovering okay. She woke me up during the night, gave me my pain meds, which were much needed, and re-iced my face. I had to sleep with ice bags on Thursday night and then again on Friday, because I started to swell a little bit.
I'm so glad it's finally over, and I'm still recovering now. It's getting better each day, but I still wake up feeling a little sore. We appreciate everyone's thoughts and well-wishes, and we thank Kurt's Mom for helping us out! I know he really appreciates it too.

Glad your feeling better. I'm so glad I had my out a couple of years ago and don't have to worry about them anymore. Hope you still had a great Easter.
